As the weather is rather quiet around the U.S. today, our only main area of interest is the Upper Midwest. Currently there is ongoing convection over Minneapolis Center that has resulted in a ground stop and traffic constrains there. This is forecast to slowly edge away from the area, but we also anticipate further convective initiation later this afternoon, particularly south through eastern IA, NE, and KS where SPC has issued a slight risk area and the NearCasting model is showing some mid-level instability. Traffic constraints in this area may be a possibility later in the day.
Additionally, we will be keeping an eye on the sea breeze activity in FL. This type of convection is generally a day to day occurrence during the summer and will not necessary become severe, but may still cause some minor constrains to air traffic through the FL peninsula.
