ABI IR imagery over Forth Worth Center

Shown below is the 1215 UTC IR image (top) compared with the 1200 UTC WRF-ABI simulated IR (band 14, bottom) image. Remember, the ABI is a synthetic image, i.e. a model image. Generally, it seemed to do well picking up the circulation center of the MCV just east of Amarillo. Also, note that the higher resolution ABI image seemed to pick up on the "toes" of the feature's chicken foot like shape.
