The line of convection set off by the MCV continues to advance towards Fort Worth Center, impacting all inbound and outbound western flights. A ground stop is anticipated as the weather overtakes the center, followed by significant impacts to all eastern flights as the squall line continues to fill in and advance beyond the center.
Circled in the blue cotton ball is the area of interest for CTC detection and subsequent development of convection to the south of Fort Worth Center within another "toe" of the MCV. This convection will develop ahead of the squall line and has the potential to impact various flight routes in the area. By 1845 UTC, a CTC detection had already popped up in the edge of the cotton ball area. We will continue to monitor these development as the afternoon progresses.
